<description>Put down the slice, especially if it's a frozen crust one you got from the bar down the street or at the corporate stinkarria. They taste like the door stops you get from all the new gas-n-goes popping up all over town.

Here is the gospel on Pizza in Omaha where there are to many joints to eat at and a few that are run buy people that don't know how to treat people and need to go out of business during this recession because there's too many good family run places to get a great meal where they know your name and how your family is doing. GET MY DRIFT ? CORPORATE EATERY'S B@*W and their quality s@%ks.

Now for the 411 on JUICY, FRESH, ZESTY, UN-BURNT HONEST TO GOD GREAT PIZZA AND FRIENDLY COMFORTABLE EATERY'S in Omaha.

$ La Casa East - Great pies, family place.

$$$ La Casa West - not friendly, Cocky, even when you order 20 pies for the big game.

$$ SGT Peffers - nice owner and staff but if you want to see ton's of fresh pepperoni on top (eye appeal) it's under the cheese, all their basic pies look the same but taste great.

$$$$$ Zio's - In there a couple of times and heard the owners bitch out the staff, but staff very nice to us, heard Zios learned their trade from Don Carmelos many years ago in the Benson area.

$$ Lansky's - good all across the board.

$$ Pizza Shoppe - good food - Drama coming out of the kitchen area, forgot silver ware for salads

$$$ Mama's - good, was better, kids, good sport's night's there, family place.

$$$ Bene - good food - loud- kids everywhere - no mood, but take one to go.

$$$ Sam &#38; Louie's - franchise - nice ambiance - big salads - food different quality all over town.

$$$$$ Old Chicago - butter (greasy)bottom deep dish, not like Maldonado's Pizza in NY

Last but not least the new kid on the block, drum roll please..............

$ Mangia Italiana, on the north end of 90th St in Irvington (worth the drive) check out their web site www.mangiaitaliana.com for all their treats. Bad news just two small tables inside, but worth the drive to get it for family night at home cause it's made by their family.

I know I didn't mention the other 125 bread joints (pizza) for many reasons, too much sugar, burnt food, strip malls, 6 ' tall animals walking around that scare me, joints run by kids talking on their cell phones showing off their underwear etc etc.

Trust me when I say a trip to the local family run place that's been in town for years or any family run place is the best buy in town.</description>
